My Order Failed, But I Still See A Pending Charge

Order failures, zip code verification, pending charges on bank statement

Updated over 5 months ago

To combat fraud, our credit card processor checks the address and zip code you provide for billing on your order against the one your bank shows on file for your card. If there is a mismatch, our credit card processor will decline the order with an address or zip code mismatch, and your order does not go through. You can try the order again and be sure to enter the billing address and zip code shown on your credit card statement.

As part of this process, the credit card processor attempts an "authorization" against your card which is necessary to verify the address. When the order doesn't go through, some banks, credit cards, and especially debit cards will still show the charge (usuaslly as "PENDING") on your online banking for up to 24 - 48 hours after our attempt.

Rest assured this is not a charge and it is going to drop off your statement within a day or two. We did not charge your card, we did not receive any money from your credit card, and your order did not go through.
