How to Troubleshoot Issues with Promo & Coupon Codes

Posterprintshop believes in offering you our best prices every day. Many companies inflate their pricing to offer a constant barrage of discounts and coupons. We prefer to avoid this gimmick and instead give you our best pricing all the time, and in this way, you don't have to worry if a promo is happening or if you need a coupon.

With that said, we do offer occasional promos for holidays and discount coupons for customers to try our service and experience our quality with new customer coupons. If you're experiencing an issue receiving or using a coupon, this article can help.

Common Promo & Coupon Code Issues and Resolutions

1. Delays in Receiving Promo Code Emails

If you recently signed up or earned a promo code but haven't received it yet:

  • Allow up to 15 minutes for delivery: Promo code emails may take some time to arrive in your inbox.

  • Check your Spam or Junk folder: Sometimes, promo codes may be mistakenly filtered by your email provider.

  • If you signed up via SMS, allow 15 minutes for the code to arrive, and keep in mind that many carriers prohibit marketing texts at night (typically between 7 pm and 7 am), so you might not receive the text until morning if your carrier has this in place.

  • First time customer coupons are only sent to new customers on a new sign up to our mailing list. If you're an existing customer or have used first time coupons before, they can't be sent again.

2. Promo Code Disappearing During Checkout

Sometimes, promo codes may get removed during payment. This often occurs due to repeated failed attempts during payment processing. To avoid losing your applied promo code:

  • Ensure your payment method is valid: Double-check your card details or linked payment account before finalizing the checkout process.

  • Verify that the promo code is still applied: Before confirming payment, take a moment to review your final order details to ensure that the discount is applied.

3. Promo / Coupon Code Not Working

  • We never provide coupon codes that are invalid or don't work, so if you are experiencing an issue, its for one of these reasons, please check:

    • First, ensure you've copied the coupon code properly, we typically find a customer is having difficulty with a coupon they have typed incorrectly, check for l's and 1's and other letters that look similar.

    • Some coupons, like our SMS 20% off, have a minimum order value. Ensure your order meets the minimum order value for the coupon to be allowed. SMS 20% off welcome requires a $30 minimum order.

    • Some coupons are valid for your first order only, ensure that you haven't already placed orders with us, which would make a first time customer coupon invalid.

    • Most coupons can only be used once, ensure that the coupon was assigned specifically to you and hasn't been used before.
